Luis Loves Science

Luis is 12 years old, and is in sixth grade at the Manuel de Jesus Calle School in the south of Quito. His favorite subject is science. He lives with his grandparents and his mother: his father is deceased.

Luis’ grandmother sells vegetables in the Camal market, and Luis often helps her out on weekends.  His mother works cleaning a government building. His mother was always very strict with Luis and his brothers and sisters, but relations have improved after receiving family counseling at CENIT.  His grandmother is also very caring.

Luis has been attending homework help sessions at CENIT for the past three years, and enjoys the homework help and the after school camaraderie.
